Music Monday: Brighter than the Sun by Colbie Caillat

Like I mentioned previously, I will have another entry by Colbie Caillat this week. This is her latest single and I first heard it on her performance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show a couple of weeks ago. I really like the song - the tune, the lyrics, everything! Listen if you still haven't done it.

Happy Music Monday y'all! Have a great week!

Which Way to Go?

I must admit, my geography is really poor. I’ve been living here in the U.S. for 14 months now, but I still get confused on what street we are on or where to turn whenever we go downtown. I am not the one driving, but still, I know I should start paying attention so I can go wherever I want, whenever I want, as soon as I get my driver’s license.

Well, I know I can always get me a tom tom gps to help me with my navigation or as I always tell my husband, why not just get me a driver so I don’t have to deal with learning how to drive and all that stuff. LOL. I still am afraid of those big trucks on the highway, but I do believe I will overcome this fear as soon as I hit the road by myself. Wish me the bestest of luck!

Where’s My Snow At?

This winter has been really mild compared to last year. We haven’t had a heavy snow yet since the season started. We’ve only had flurries a few times and I do wonder when we will get a real snow or if we will even have one. But it has been cold some, of course, though we’ve had many spring-like days.

We are in the 30’s today and at this moment, I am kind of freezing. I will be taking a hot shower in a while and how I wish we had a hot tub so I could lie there feeling warm and relaxed. But it’s out of the budget and I guess all we can afford is a hot tub cover. LOL. It doesn’t really matter, for as long as we have hot water, that’s more than enough for me.

Music Monday: Bubbly by Colbie Caillat

It's been a while now since I listened to this song, one of my faves by Colbie Caillat. She performed her latest single at the Ellen DeGeneres show last week which is a nice song too with a happy tune, and that's when I remember this song, her first single that I really like. I like her latest single also which I think will be my entry next week.

Happy Music Monday y'all! KUNG HEI FAT CHOI!

I've been awake for a while now
You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tingles in a silly place

[Chorus:]
And it starts in my toes
And I crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

The rain is falling on my window pane
But we are hiding in a safer place
Under covers staying dry and warm
[Another version of the song says: "Under covers staying safe and warm"]
You give me feelings that I adore

I've been asleep for a while now
You tuck me in just like a child now
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth

Love is Everywhere This Time of Year

I went out with my good friend Carol last week and it made me nostalgic because it was this time last year when we went shopping for the things that I needed for my wedding. There were many Valentine’s Day gift ideas everywhere which also abound at this time of year. I actually bought some of them to use for the wedding since our wedding was in February. That was too perfect.

I did remember about browsing for bridesmaid gift ideas too, though it was intended for my maid of honor which is my stepdaughter. Remembering those things really delighted me. Such a nice time to reminisce.

Music Monday: Iridescent by Linkin Park

My son and my man have one thing in common, they both like Linkin Park. They both have listened to a lot of Linkin Park songs together and this song here is what my son has been listening to for days now. He's a fan of the movie 'Transformers' and so am I.

Happy Music Monday y'all! Enjoy your Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday!

He’s Got the Music in Him!

My husband is such a music lover that he actually collected an enormous amount of music CDs and he still has all his long play vinyl albums from when he was a teenager. And all throughout the years, he’s managed to take good care of his collection and they are still here in the house neatly arranged in the shelves. I was amazed the first time I saw them.

In addition, he still has his record player as well as the matching speakers; they’re over 40 years old. So just imagine how old they look. But just like the CDs and long play albums, they are still good to go. But you know what? I am actually thinking of buying him new set of bookshelf speakers, but though I am a music lover, I have no idea which bookshelf speakers are the best to get. Got any idea?

Music Monday: Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd

My husband is a big fan of the band Pink Floyd. I haven't listened to any of their songs until the time that he introduced them to me. At first I thought they're a hard rock band, but I was wrong. And the first time that I listened to their songs, I liked them instantly. And you know what? My son is so into them now too. Whenever we go somewhere, it's the Pink Floyd's CD that is playing on the car's CD player. Listen to this one. Really nice!

Happy Music Monday y'all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I wasn't able to greet you last week so there you go. I am not that late yet, am I?

The Beauty of Bonuses

Let's start with a simple question: who doesn't like money? Money is what allows us to operate successfully within society. It allows us to buy our food, secure our shelter, and, just as importantly, it lets us look good! With money comes fashionable clothes, jewelry, make up, accessories, and anything else that you, or I, would need to fit into the fast moving fashion world. This is why, when an opportunity to make money conveniently and easily comes along, I pay attention. So should you.

Bonus Money:

That has a lovely ring to it, doesn't it? "Bonus money." It conjures images of nice fat Christmas bonuses, end of the year bonuses, or dividends. However, in this article, the bonuses we are talking about are the bonuses that online casinos are now offering to get new people to sign up. Commonly a no deposit bonus, these little gifts are the next best thing to free money. However, there are some small caveats that keep online casino bonuses from attaining that level of unreal benefit. For example, many casinos that give large sign up bonuses only consider the player as having "won" if, after they have played the full bonus, they have more money than they started out with. While at first this might be frustrating, it is also perfectly logical. After all, if some extremely generous friend lent you $1,000 (which you would not have to pay back if you lost), they would certainly want their $1,000 back if you won, or whatever was left if you did not.

Finding Bonuses:

The best place to find online casino bonuses is in one of the many databases online. These databases are dedicated to helping people like us - the technical term is "bonus hunters" - find what we are looking for. Generally, these sites sort the bonuses into cash bonuses, bonus plays, and bonus play time, which is common in slots.

Why they are offered:

You may be wondering, "if it's so easy to make money using casino bonuses, how can they afford to offer them?" and that's a good question. The answer is: if people quit after spending their entire free bonuses, then they wouldn't work. However, most casinos offer another bonus for making a deposit and if people do that, and lose, they're hooked. They want to win back their money and so they keep playing. This is why, if you want to make money as a bonus hunter, you have to always keep in mind that these bonuses are a lure and then not take the bait.

However, that being said, if you do keep in mind that the bonuses are a deliberate strategy, and do your research thoroughly, it is possible to make a good amount of that lovely green paper, which is a gateway to so much more.

Presents Galore

Just like last year which was our first Christmas here in the land of Uncle Sam, the little one had a blast once again on Christmas Eve. He received gifts galore from my husband's family and oh boy, did it make his night. Just as he had on his wishlist, he got boxes of Lego plus Transformer toys, a domino set, books and clothes.

More Lego to add to his collection.

The hat he was wearing was a gift from my SIL and it came with that striped sweater that's partly seen on the bottom left corner of the photo.

And there's a robot that he just installed. That blue one lying on the floor. (",)
