Way to Go, Son!

Having a student is fun and fulfilling since you get to know your kids better, and knowing that they’re doing good in school is like a gift that is priceless. But there are times of pressure too, especially when the school year starts and you need to provide all their needs. I do know because there were four kids in my family and I saw how my parents did their best to cope with us and our school needs from grade school until we went to college.

At present, it’s my turn to have a student. Good thing I only have one. He is in third grade now and though he is the only one and we’ve never had difficulty in sending him to school, I still always choose to be frugal as much as I can like using discount school supply coupons for his things as well as looking for sales too when it comes to his other needs. But no matter what, my son is worth every penny spent because he is in the Honor Roll! Yeah!

Music Monday: I Don't Want to Wait by Paula Cole

I listened to our TV's music channel on Saturday while doing the laundry. More often than not, it's always the 80's music (my most favorite era) that I listened to. But for a change, I listened to the music of the 90's that day and this song here was among the many nice songs that was played.

This was one of my favorite back then, not to mention, I was an avid fan of the TV show "Dawson's Creek" wherein this was the theme song. And this song brought back memories of good friends who were an avid fan of the show too. Those were the days, but reminiscing those days still never fail to put a smile on my face even up to now. Music Monday: It Will Rain by Bruno Mars

I'm an avid fan of the Twilight Saga. I've read the books and seen the movies, but not Breaking Dawn Part 1 yet. It only opened on Friday and we are planning to watch it this week. Maybe the day before Thanksgiving or after.

I first heard of this song, which is included on the movie soundtrack on Ellen. Bruno Mars performed it live on Friday. The casts of the movie were there too that's why I made it a point not to miss that episode. I'm so excited to see the film!

Happy Music Monday y'all! Happy Thanksgiving!

Music Monday: Terrified by Katharine McPhee ft. Zachary Levi

I wasn't aware of this song until my 15-year-old niece told me. She has been the one who has been introducing nice new songs to me. But actually, the first time I've listened to this, it sounded familiar to me, but I can't remember if I really heard it somewhere and where exactly. In a television show perhaps. Maybe.

I so love this song and when I shared it with the husband, he liked it as well. I like Katharine McPhee ever since her American Idol days. She was my bet that time actually, but unfortunately, she didn't make it. Still, I admire her beauty and talent.

Music Monday: Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars

I am talking to my sister and her family on Skype right now and earlier, my 3-year-old nephew sang this song to me. At his young age of three, he is already showing his love for music and dancing. I do wonder where he got that? From me perhaps. Hehe.

I love this song! Simply perfect for my Honey Hubby!!! (",)

Happy Music Monday y'all!!! Have a great week!!!

Don’t Let the Words Fool You

Do you know what a skid steer is? I had to go back and read again because the first time I saw the words, I thought it was referring to Skid Row which is of course a name of an artist. But no, it is actually a loader.

What can I say? I am not into construction or anything. And I am a woman too. Talk to me about clothes, bags and shoes and I can pretty well relate. LOL. But anyway, I was glad to have stumbled upon it today. At least I’ve learned something new.

Halloween Bones Were Rattling

Last night’s trick or treatin’ was really fun. It was mine and my son’s first because celebrating Halloween is really not big in my home country compared here in the U.S. It was our first time to wear costumes too.

My son was the ‘Prince of Persia’ and I wore a skeleton costume that they found funny. Some of them even kidded that my husband is probably not feeding me good and that was why all that was left of me was bones. That was such a funny t-shirt that I wore indeed. It also came with shorts that was showing my thigh bones. Really cool!
