This is the ornament that I won when I joined The Grove Park Inn's trivia on Facebook. This hotel is one of the best hotels that we have here in the city. I am a fan of their Facebook page thus, I get their updates.
I've been reading about their trivia, but it was only in September that I thought of joining after reading the question pertaining to our former President. I had no idea about it actually, but since they mentioned Southeast Asian President, it got me into researching. The question was where was this President from. I answered... My country, the Philippines.
I didn't expect to win because there were about 80 people who joined. Only 6 were selected and I was so surprised and delighted to be among them. Not to mention, the winners were announced on Facebook on the day of my birthday. Awesome really!!!

Music Monday: Broken Wings by Mr. Mister
I searched for a song on YouTube and this song was one among the many that popped up. I love the song in the 80's. It is actually my favorite era, and this song made me so nostalgic. But it is a long story and I can't make it short. LOL.
Happy Music Monday y'all! Have a great week! (",)

A Voluminous Tome in Your Hands
I find the kobo wireless ereader, the nook or even kindle really neat. You can download all the books that you like so it is like having many books in one.
I even told the husband about it since he is a bookworm. He reads everyday and even reads himself to sleep.
But you know what his reply was? The electronic gadget doesn’t have the feel that a book has. He likes holding a book and the smell of the paper.
Well, for as long as it is what he wants, then so be it. I know what I want, and it’s not a book. Teehee.
After He’s Bad, He Knows How to be Good
My husband definitely knows how to tickle my fancy and how to make me smile when he is sorry. Giving me a bar of chocolate is all it takes because it is certainly one of my weaknesses. But I am wishing that he will see those coated berries and would say, “Next time,I'll make it up to with these.” They really look delicious and enticing.
Maybe the best thing to do is give him the name of the website, huh? But I need to make him think it was his own idea. Hmmm, maybe I will give him a hint, a hint that will make sure he gets the message.

Our Halloween Costumes
This year's Halloween will be mine and my son's first celebration of Halloween here in the U.S. Though it is celebrated by many in my home country, it wasn't really that BIG there as compared here where kids and adults really wear costumes and go trick or treatin'.
Our neighbors usually celebrate their Halloween by trick or treatin' on this street at the west part of the city. They invited us to come along with them so, I ordered Halloween costumes for the three of us.
I've learned about the costume website from my SIL's younger sis. Glad she did tell me about it because the site was on sale. That being said, I got a great deal for the three costumes.
The photo below shows mine, my husband's and my son's costumes.

Let the Animal in You Loose!
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Baby-G for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Among my accessories, the one thing that I can’t leave the house without is my watch. I’ve been wearing one since I was in grade school and I guess I will be wearing one until the last second of my life. I do own two watches now - one casual and one dressy, and adding one more could be on the horizon after seeing the newest from Baby-G. It was designed by the popular artist, Kesha. She made two designs after partnering with them; one is a red, white and blue watch symbolizing the American flag, and the other one has a leopard print symbolizing the animal that dwells inside of her psyche.
I like the one with the leopard print because I think I also have an animal in me, waiting to be unleashed. (“,) See the photos? Nice, huh? I know both of the watches will certainly rock any of our fall outfits, but I know you do have one that you like the most. Which one is it? And why do you like it best?
And tell you what? You can have a Baby-G watch by entering the Baby-G sweepstakes. They are giving away four Baby-G watches to four random winners. Joining is as easy as 1-2-3. Go ahead and check the contest rules. Don’t let that one step behind prevent you from winning that much-desired watch.
And before I forget, I have included here the video of Kesha in her Baby-G photo shoot. She absolutely rocks in those Baby-G watches. Watch it yourself!

A Gift For Myself
We went to our jeweler last weekend to have my necklace resized. It is a necklace with my name on it. I bought it online as a birthday gift to myself. I couldn’t resist the great deal because they had a sale for almost everything at their site including steel rings, earrings, bracelets, etc. If you had seen the deal, I’ll bet, you couldn’t resist it either.
I really love the necklace, but it was way too long; my name was hidden underneath my top whenever I wore it. So, it needed to be cut. We will get it back later this week and I can’t wait to wear it!
Music Monday: Blessed by Martina McBride
The title alone already gives you an idea of what this song is about. I love this song. It speaks so much of what's running on my mind right now and how my life has been the past months. Listen.

Quit Going Around in Circles
I do know that a lot of us have problems with dark circles around our eyes. Some of us probably have this kind of problem now and on a continuing basis. And though some of us have already found a remedy for it, there are still some who have not.
If you are one who belongs to the latter, be aware that there are eye creams for dark circles. It is certainly the answer to your dark circle problems.
Yogi's School Backpack
Being a fan of the baseball team, Atlanta Braves for years, my husband got my son into watching the game too and really loving the Braves. This bag says it all. He wanted a backpack for school that has the Atlanta Braves logo in it. It took me a while searching because even though I've seen some with the Braves' logo, I didn't like the design. I was so glad when I found this on eBay. This one is simply perfect!
The color is perfect too because it's my son's favorite color. And I definitely love the design with the pockets and all. And having been manufactured from a famous brand, I know I will never go wrong.
I was also surprised when I saw the tag. It's made in the Philippines - my home country! But the seller is from Virginia. Isn't that ironic? (",)
Be a Woman of the Business World
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Express for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I like dressing up. Perhaps it is a woman thing. But one thing I haven’t tried is wearing a woman’s suit. I am a homemaker and my previous job didn’t require us to do such. With my work interview, I made use of my casual dress too. I know it didn’t look like a business or executive outfit, but the important thing is, I looked presentable and more so, I got the job.
But these days, I know dressing properly for an occasion is something that we should consider. Applying for a job is one of the many plans that I look forward to doing soon, and with that, I will definitely need a suit. I have been looking and I really find the women’s rouched sleeve jacket and matching pants from Express really nice. It’s the kind of suit that I know women would really like to wear. I’ve included a photo below. How do you like it? Pretty isn’t it?
And you know what? You can have it or better yet, have a totally amazing suiting makeover if…only if…you enter the Express sweepstakes. Nothing gets better than that, huh? So join now and have the chance of winning that great makeover. Good luck!

It’s Almost Spooky Time
I finally got to order Halloween costumes yesterday. I had been looking, but I hadn’t seen any that I liked. My SIL’s younger sis told me the store where she bought hers. They have a website and that’s what kept me busy yesterday, browsing for Halloween costumes for the three of us - my husband, my son and I. I already had chosen the ones that I liked in the morning, but I waited for them before I ordered because I was afraid they might not like what I picked. I’m glad they liked them! More so, the costumes were on sale so we got a great deal! Yeah!
But before finally choosing the one for me, I had questions that I wanted to ask and how I wish I was in a real store facing a help desk specialist so I could get my answers pronto but, unfortunately, it was impossible. There are Help Desk Specialist Jobs out there, but no help desk specialist in online stores. Or maybe there is one that I overlooked. Or is it possible? Let me check again.

Music Monday: Mean by Taylor Swift
Taylor is one of my favorites among the young artists. Listening to her songs make me feel young. But I am young...young at heart. Teehee. And I was amused while listening to this song because...just because... (",)
Enjoy the song, fellas. Happy Music Monday!!!

Some Days are Bad Enough Without Your Hair Joining In
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TRESemmé for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Cold days are here again and you pretty well know how the cold weather can affect your hair. It makes it dull and dry which eventually will give you a bad hair day. You don’t want that to happen to you, do you? Having a bad hair day is the last thing that I want myself. Good thing, we can always prevent it from happening by taking good care of our crowning glory and giving it the proper care that it needs.
It needs to be moisturized, rejuvenated and refreshed. Did you know that is what TRESemmé Fresh Start Dry Shampoo can do? And without the help of water at that. It strengthens and smoothens your hair leaving it soft and smelling good. But before it will give you that much desired hair, you need to know how to use it properly.
Before spraying, you should shake it well then spray at the roots. You also need to leave it in your hair for one to two minutes and use your fingertips and brush to distribute it evenly. It is that simple, but the result is simply amazing.
Watch Youtube celebrity Elle Fowler’s tutorial and learn more about the dry shampoo and also those Top Hair Products for School. Happy hair day!
