Life is a Winding Road; Don’t Take the Wrong Turn

I was browsing online when I came across this article about a celebrity who lost so much weight to the point that she looked like she was ill. People were already having this notion that she was either ill or she's doing drugs.

It really makes me wonder why people who are famous and rich get into such troubles. They’ve already got everything that most people can only wish for, and yet they ruin their lives by indulging in the dark side of fame. I know there are rehab centers like malibu rehab treatment center that can help them, but isn’t it that prevention is better than cure?

I really hope people will realize that it’s not the answer to their problems and look more into how beautiful life is when lived the right way.

In Just Four Days, Fall Will Have Fell

I was supposed to do the laundry today, but the cold weather just made me lazy. My day was most of the time spent in front of the computer browsing, online ‘window shopping’ and playing. Fall is just around the corner, hence the ‘window shopping’. Both my son and I need sweaters and thermal wear.

But my eyes were not focused on those items only. I browsed shoes and accessories too. Well, you know us women, those things make our eyes wide. LOL. I even browsed on birth announcements after I stumbled on it at one of the websites that I browsed.

I’ve already decided on which warm clothes to pick for myself, but I am still undecided for my son’s. Maybe I will let him pick for himself. As for birth announcements, I have nothing to announce; yet, that is…(“,)

Yogi's Crocband Toe Bumper Flip

My son Yogi plays everyday with our neighbors. They do a lot of running thus, I thought of getting him this pair of Crocs sandals because I believe it is way better and comfortable to use than flip flops. Flip flops is good for walking, but not for running. Agree?

I ordered this online and it arrived in the mail last week. Yogi was all smiles upon seeing his new footwear and he has been wearing it since then.

A Gift for the New Babe

I am invited for the first time to a baby shower on the 25th of this month. I am excited because I’ve never been to one. Yep, in my 36 years of existence in this world, I’ve never been to a baby shower party and that is because it is not really a big thing in my home country. Usually, it is the baptism that we make a big deal about.

Anyway, the one who will have the baby shower is my husband’s nephew’s wife who is due to give birth in November. I already checked their registry and I already picked what I am going to give her - baby monitor with display.

I know she'll be pleased.

We’ve Been Busy Little Bees

The previous couple of weeks have been busy for us. We had party invitations left and right and we also started processing mine and my son’s documents so we had an appointment with our lawyer for the second time in the past couple of weeks.

We traveled again to that part of the city where traffic is always jammed up because that is where all the tall steel buildings are and where all the professionals have their offices - doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, etc. Name it; you can find any professional that you need in that part of the city.

We dealt with the traffic well, though. It’s not really that bad for me. And I would still go back there even if I don’t have an appointment with any professional. You want to know why? Because I have seen a few clothing boutiques there. So, need I say more?

It was the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attack yesterday and it was what the news channel talked about and featured the whole day. The videos that were captured during that day were played again including the heart-breaking scene when the two towers collapsed.

It has been 10 years, but watching that scene still gives me goosebumps. And this song that I chose as entry this week was played over and over again yesterday while they were playing the videos. I love this song and someday, I know, I will get to see New York. (",)
