This is one of the songs that I like from the King of Pop. And this is so perfect and timely because of the calamities that hit the country as of late - earthquake first, then the hurricane.

OOOPS! Clumsy Me!

You know what kept me glued to the computer today? Blackberry cell phone cases! I never thought of getting one until it slipped out of my fingers today and hit the floor. Thankfully, it landed on a carpeted floor, otherwise, it could have been a disaster.

I just love this top. I bought it from Forever21's online store. Even my family and friends said it's nice. I wore this for the first time on my Alma Mater's Alumni Reunion Welcome Party in Virginia. I paired it with shorts and wedge heels sandals. Try to picture that out. I was thinking of including a photo, but nah, I will leave it all up to your imagination. Teehee.

So soft and breezy. Those are the perfect adjectives for this top.

Work Burns Off My Fat

I talked about reading fat burners reviews, but let me reiterate that it wasn’t for me, but for my mom. I just want to clarify that because people have been telling me that I look like I’ve lost weight. Well, maybe I did, but it’s not because I used a fat burner.

My eating habits have changed since the time I got here. I normally had rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner back in my home country. But here, no more rice for lunch. With only me and my son here during the day, we got in the idea of just having a sandwich, or chips, or banana or any leftover for lunch. And now that school is back and I’m alone all day, the more I don’t like having a heavy lunch by myself. But don’t worry, guys, I will be okay. I will not look anorexic, promise!

I’m Sold on Gold

Thinking about what business to venture into has been running in my mind lately. I’ve been browsing the internet on possible investment options that would suit me and I actually talked to my sister last weekend to see if she had something in mind. But like me, she is also clueless.

Though I don’t really know what’s the best business to have, I do have things in mind that I want to do like sell bags and sell clothes online. And I could sell gold too, like jewelry. But I don’t know how and where to start. I need to do a lot of reading and researching on this.

A New Mommy

I called my good friend today just to check on how she’s been doing. It has been two weeks since she gave birth and though she is still in the recovery stage, her voice already sounds chirpy even though her sleeping hours are a mess because of the baby.

I heard the baby cry while we were talking and I kept on hearing her five-year-old son shouting and having a good time while playing his xbox kinect.

It was really nice talking to her again and knowing she surpassed the ordeal of giving birth. I’ve already seen the baby in her pictures and she is such a cutie. I can’t wait to see and hold her. Soon…

Listen Up, Mom, and Lose

My mom has been battling about losing weight for years. She did lose weight with the formula that she has been taking, but it came to a point that she’s not losing weight anymore. She reached the yo-yo point where she’d lose a little and gain again, and so on.

Had I heard about Turbulence Training before, I would have told her to try it. I wasn’t aware about it until I came across the site today. But maybe it is not yet too late for her. I’ll give her a heads up about it and maybe she’ll try it.

Strappy Sandals

I bought this online in the middle of spring, but the bad thing about buying online is you don't get to try it on so, there are times that the fit is not good. I have small feet, size 5' to be exact and it is hard for me to find shoes of my size here. More often than not, the smallest size is 6. I was delighted when I saw my size online thus, I ordered it pronto! I found a way though to make the shoes wearable for me. Good enough!

He’s in a Daze Waiting For Those School Days

A few more days to go and it is back to school again. Where did summer go? Oh boy! My son will be in third grade this year and he sure is looking forward to seeing his classmates again. He did have separation anxiety when school ended in June, but good thing, it didn’t affect him in enjoying his summer to the fullest. He definitely had a blast.

We’ve already done some school supply shopping last weekend, but we are not through shopping for clothes and other stuff yet. My New Ballet Shoes

This is perhaps the most comfortable shoes that I've gotten for myself, so far. When we were still planning for our trip to Washington, D.C., I knew I would need to have me a pair of comfortable walking shoes because there is no doubt we will do a lot of walking. And I wasn't wrong. We walked for hours, but this pair of shoes never gave me any single problem at all. It is made of soft and delicate cloth, thus, it was so comfy to wear.

I bought this at one of the stores at the mall. I simply like its flower and peep-toe design. Lovely!

The husband and I watched the movie 'Friends With Benefits' on Friday night. We really enjoyed the film. It was hilarious! And this song here is in the movie's soundtrack. It was played in the movie several times and it reminds me of the time when the song became a hit. It was in the late 90's, I guess and it was one of my late hubby's faves.

School Days Ahead

Our day was spent shopping for the little one’s school things. We also bought him new clothes because the schools here have no uniform and he needed to have more clothes. Now, he is ready for classes to begin. He is vocal about being excited to see his classmates again and ride the school bus.

But school means I have to get up early again to prepare him for school. It will be a struggle for me once more after staying a little late in bed the whole summer. But no biggy since I am more productive when I get up early. I always get to learn new things because I spent most of my mornings browsing and reading.

I recently read about no exam life insurance after browsing for something else online, and I’m glad I did because getting insurance for the little one and I is on our priority list. I hope we will be able to get things straight this month. Fingers crossed!
