He’s So Sweet, He’s Decadent

I have a sweet tooth and the husband certainly knows how to tickle my fancy because he always surprises me with sweets. Isn’t he sweet? He is the sweetest man alive for me actually.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I have this feeling my day will be filled with sweetness again and most probably on my birthday too because I caught him checking the decadent birthday ideas on this website recently, and after learning what the website was all about, I couldn’t help but get giddy.

You want to know why? The photos I’ve included here are just some of the decadence they offer. Now, tell me. Who wouldn’t get super excited about these?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hmmm, can you smell the spring air? I know it’s not only me who’s been raring for spring to come and now that it is here, I couldn’t be happier. Spring is the best time for enjoying the outdoors, if even only in the comfort of your own backyard. It feels good to feel the sun shine on your face as well as smell nature wafting through the breeze while lounging on a hammock or simply sitting on a comfortable outdoor wicker rocker or the Papasan chair.

Speaking of such, is your patio or deck already filled with that much needed furniture to fully enjoy spring? If not yet, this is the time for you to check Pier 1. The wide array of outdoor furniture and outdoor decors that they have are simply awesome. You can’t resist them, not to mention the really great bargains. Their decors are versatile because you can either use them inside or outside your house. Isn’t that a wow?

I have seen the perfect furniture for me and pretty soon, I will be enjoying their comfort. Can you say hammock and an adjustable chaise lounge? I can, and it gets no better than that. So you hurry too. Pick that outdoor furniture and enjoy spring to the fullest while it lasts. You may check the Pier 1 Tweetups in your area as well. You’ll be absolutely pleased!

GAP for Kids

My son, Yogi's 8th birthday was his first birthday celebration here in the U.S. I made sure his day will be extra-special and a memorable one. I bought him clothes to wear on his big day from one of the famous brands for kids - GAP. They had a sale during the time that we went shopping which was simply perfect!

I am keeping the bag. I know it will still be useful in the future.

I got him a long-sleeved polo and a short-sleeved tee. Glad he liked it because he can be picky, you know. Both him and his Daddy Harry liked the print on that tee. (",)

The Way He Eyes Me is All That Matters

I already bought me a dress for the gala night that we will be attending soon. I actually bought two cocktail dresses because I was thinking that the first one I bought was way too sexy for that affair. Had it been that I consider myself sexy, maybe I would go with the first dress, but I don’t. I am too skinny to be called sexy.

Yeah, diet pills company will not gain anything from me because I will never need their services. I’ve always been skinny and I think I will forever be. I did mention about reading oxyelite pro side effects before, but that was not for me, but for my mom.

Anyway, I may not consider myself sexy, but for the hubby’s eyes, I am always sexy and I think that is all that matters. Agree? (“,)

Don’t Face it Alone; Get the Help You Need

I am the type who doesn’t rely on medicines right away when I don’t feel good. For as long as it is still tolerable, I just let it pass because I know for certain that it will be gone soon. You know why? It is because I am pretty aware that medicines do have their side effects. A lot of medicines, if not all, and though I don’t know all of those side effects that each medicine brings, I am just being cautious.

I have read a lot of stories all throughout my life about medicines which have caused terrible side effects to the users. One that I read about which really surprised me was the effects of the medicine Zoloft which is used to treat depression. Its side effects include violent and suicidal behavior, skin rashes, jaundice and many more.

There are probably a lot of individuals now who are suffering from the side effects it brings, and if you know anyone or if it is your loved one, or yourself, know that you can do something about it with the proper legal representation. Read more about zoloft lawsuits to know more and what you can do if you‘re one who has been affected.

Yogi's LEGO Shoes

Yogi's only 8 years old, but he can be picky already when it comes to the kind of clothes and shoes that he wants to wear. I did pick up the clothes that he wore for his birthday and gladly, he liked what I got him. But for the shoes, it took us time to finally found the one that he likes.

We roamed the mall for an hour or more, I guess before we found this LEGO shoes. And it was our last stop among the stalls because that was the only stall left that we haven't checked.

He is so into LEGO toys now so, he was so delighted when he saw the shoes. I was delighted myself because I never thought that there are LEGO shoes. It was a li'l expensive for a kid's footwear, but it's what he wanted so, we got it for him. I found it nice too.

Nice pair of shoes there, huh?

There's Yogi wearing his new pair of shoes for the first time. This was taken after his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's. And look, he's playing with his new set of LEGO, a gift.

Music Monday: Better Than A Hallelujah by Amy Grant

We are celebrating lent and today being Holy Monday, I thought of putting a gospel song as my entry, and that is why I thought of Amy Grant, a known gospel singer.

Happy Music Monday everyone and have a blessed Lenten season.

God loves a lullaby
In a mother's tears in the dead of night
Better than a Hallelujah sometimes

God loves the drunkard's cry
The soldier's plea not to let him die
Better than a Hallelujah sometimes

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful, the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

The woman holding on for life
The dying man giving up the fight
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes

The tears of shame for what's been done
The silence when the words won't come
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful, the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

Better than a church bell ringing
Better than a choir singing out, singing out

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful, the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful, the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

Music Monday: Iris by Goo Goo Dolls

I really like this song, but I haven't listened to it for a while until last week when a Facebook friend posted it on her wall. I've been playing it over and over again from that moment on and it reminded me of the time when this song became a hit, as well as the movie, "City of Angels" where this song was played. Happy Music Monday everyone!!!

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

Music Monday: I Will Remember You by Sarah McLachlan

Yesterday was the first year death anniversary of my husband's Mom. It was a day of reminiscing the time of her death and their first year without her, but it wasn't that sorrowful anymore. They do know she's happy where she is now. I wish I met her.

This song is simply perfect, isn't it because she will always be remembered.

Happy Music Monday y'all!

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

Remember the good times that we had?
I let them slip away from us when things got bad
How clearly I first saw you smilin’ in the sun
Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

I’m so tired but I can’t sleep
Standin’ on the edge of something much too deep
It’s funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, but we can’t be heard

But I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

I’m so afraid to love you, but more afraid to loose
Clinging to a past that doesn’t let me choose
Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night
You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light

And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don’t let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Weep not for the memories
