Music Monday: My Heart Belongs To You by Jim Brickman & Peabo Bryson

I was searching for songs on YouTube one day when I came across this one. I've heard of it before but it was only that day that I really got to listen to it and know its lyrics, and I just love it. Perfect for my BA and I. (",) Happy Music Monday!!!

Look at me now
I thought I was near the end
Then you came along
When I needed a friend
And you made me love again

(Chorus)

Somehow you found me
Wrapped your love around me
Now my head's up in the clouds
When I'm around you
I just wanna say, everyday
Thank God I found you

If You Want It, Go For It

It can’t be denied that healthcare jobs are really much sought after jobs not just in this country but all over the world. I can tell because back home in my homeland there are thousands of nursing graduates each year, all of them wanting to work in the healthcare industry where they can earn a decent salary compared to other jobs.

I could have been one of them if I didn’t shift into another course. I know it was not for me. I was so indecisive after I graduated from high-school and just went with what my mom chose for me. And it didn’t work for me at all. I had to find what my heart desired and when I found it, I went for it and did enjoy it. I believe it‘s best to follow your heart.

Stupid Printer Caused Me Extra Work

I only ordered a print-your-own kit for our wedding invitations because aside from the fact that I wanted to do it myself, it was much cheaper compared to having them custom made.

I had problems though when I was about to print the address on the envelopes because the first envelope jammed inside the printer. I thought of ordering address labels right then and actually checked online so I could order them but the problem was, it would take a week or more before they could deliver them. That would mean a delay in mailing the invitations then and we don’t have that much time left.

I decided to just print them myself on a sheet of bond paper and then cut them out and paste them on. It would have been nice to have had those wedding address labels with our picture on them. I will just purchase address labels for our next big occasion and be prepared ahead of time.

The Smartest of Artists

There was a time in my life that I dreamed of becoming a painter or an artist. I know my teachers in grade school influenced me a lot. They saw that I had talent when it came to drawing which I believe I inherited from my dad who is into drafting and plans. But that dream simply didn’t materialize. I never had the chance to pursue that dream. It was forgotten as soon as I reached high school. But I have no regrets whatsoever. I guess it was just not meant to be for me.

You are probably wondering why I sound so nostalgic all of a sudden. I was browsing online when I came across Marko Stout, an artist who is based in New York City whose expertise is in abstract work. Abstract paintings are the ones that I like when it comes to art work. I like how it is done, the gist giving you a sense of mystery and intellectual stimulation.

But I am more surprised at what else Mark Stout has up his sleeve. Aside from being an artist, he is also a biology degree holder and holds doctorates in medicine and metaphysics. Wow! What an achievement that is! Simply admirable!

I’ve included a photo of one of his works. Isn’t it nice? How I wish I would be able to witness his exhibit in New York City come autumn. That would be a dream granted.

He's Got the Best Bod For Me

I do admire people who work out a lot because it takes a lot of time, energy and stamina to do it. I am lazy when it comes to working out or going to the gym. I am just thankful that I don’t have excess pounds to lose. But then again, I know that getting into exercise is a must because it is not only good for the body, but also for the health.

I will think about it and maybe encourage my fiance’ to do the same too and do the ab workouts for 6 pack so he will have the 6 pack that every woman likes to see, me included. Hee hee. But I won’t force him if he doesn’t want to. Anyway, I am already thankful that he doesn’t have a bulging tummy nor excess fats around the belly area.

She is Terribly Missed

It’s been nine months now since my fiance’s mom passed away but until now, my fiance’ still couldn’t believe that she’s already gone. He misses her a lot and often talks about her including her last days on earth and when she finally departed. He still vividly remembers the funeral arrangements that he did and even told the story to me in detail. It was really sad listening to him, and how I wish I got to meet his mother.

But in a way, he was also thankful that she finally rested and never suffered anymore. And we do believe she’s now happy where she is and is very happy with her son who is now living a new life with his new family.

Perfect Timing!

The top thing on my to-do list is to look for diet pills that work. It’s not for me though but for my mom who has gained weight again. Guess who the culprit was? You bet, it’s the holidays. Anyway, I started browsing when the phone rang. It was my girlfriend, my son’s godmother, from Maryland. She was absent from work because she’s sick and thought of calling me because she’s so tired to reply to my e-mail on Facebook. I sent her one a week ago, I guess and I thought maybe she didn’t reply the soonest because she was busy. Sad to know that she’s been sick as well as her son and mom. Get well soon to all of you there!

I'm His Merry Maid Who Led Him to Minute Maid

I just drank a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy. They say it’s got ‘no preservatives added’. Aw, c’mon…It’s bottled juice. Is that even possible? So I thought maybe...they said that in jest, so I'd give it a test, and put their claims to rest. But much to my delight, it was the best, truly a fest, the high point of my night!

I didn’t believe it the first time I heard it’s got no preservatives added. So I read the ingredients (even the fine print) and everything checked out! It really has NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED! That means it doesn’t have ingredients that may turn out to be allergens, or worse...carcinogens! Whew! Now that’s healthy goodness that tastes so good, I...ran to my man and told him my plan, to change our daily diet. We'd become a fan of the Minute Maid chemical ban and begin eating and drinking right.

So okay, it’s got no preservatives added. That’s really good, right? Not just because it doesn’t have those icky, harmful ingredients, but it also means...the natural flavor is there, which is so rare in this day of chemical blight. So to treat our body fair, and give it good care, we'll fight the healthy fight.

So far anyone who still has a hard time believing that Minute Maid has got no preservatives added - meaning it's THAT natural, it's almost like it's plucked straight from the tree, it's just as Mother Nature wanted your orange juice to be, it's got nothing but the good stuff yes, none of those potentially toxic stuff that can harm your brain, kidneys, heart; cause tumors aargh - the list of preservatives' bad effects just go on!!! Anyway, just to prove a point on just how good Minute Maid Pulpy is 'cause it's got NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED, I'm gonna...go buy a case and make it the base, of my daily drink. And though in the rat race, I'll be ready to face life's challenges and be in the healthy pink. (",)

Feels good to know about the real pulpy deal, right? C’mon show me a smile on the comment box, and you might win yourself a Really Pulpy Deal! (That’s a chance to win a Minute Maid gift pack simply by commenting. Sweet! C'mon you just might be picked as the lucky 'commentor'!)

Love,

Lynn

Here Comes the Bride

Another mission was accomplished today and that was finding and purchasing my bridal gown. Yay! I was really happy that I finally saw one that I liked. The fit was good too though they need to make some alteration on the hem because it’s too long for me.

We are going back there in two weeks time for the alteration and that’s the time too that we are going to buy my shoes and some other accessories. We were not able to do it today because we had other missions to see to. We need to check for bow ties too for the bearers as well as baskets for the flower girls. Do I sound so excited? You bet I am! (“,)

Ding-A-Ling, I Want My Ring!

More often than not, I don’t wear my engagement ring when I am just here at home, but today was different. I don’t know why; I just felt like wearing it today and I glanced at it from time to time while doing my online tasks. It’s a yellow gold ring that my fiance’ bought for me the day after he proposed. He did mention about buying me a new one though, something that will match our wedding bands. I do believe it will be one of those cubic zirconia engagement rings since he really likes them, and I do love ’em too. We haven’t shopped for our wedding bands yet and I think we’ll be shopping for all the rings at the same time. I really can’t wait because it is something that I really look forward to doing.

A Taste of Home

I had a big surprise from my fiance’ last week and that was him taking me to another Asian store in the city. I never thought he’d do it since it was not on our itinerary that day. That really delighted me. I excitedly went inside as soon as he parked the car and checked every single item on their point of purchase displays. I bought some but not much since some of the things that I’ve been raring to buy were not there. They’re probably out of stock or something. Perhaps it will be there the next time we drop by. Here’s hoping.

The Turn of a Friendly Card

My son’s favorite word used to be “Booor---ing!” until he got a play station on Christmas from Santa. I’ve never heard him utter that word since. Most of his days since Christmas have been spent playing it to the point that he goes to bed late. That is, until my fiancĂ© had to get his attention about it. A boy his age should be in bed by 8 o’clock. He was given a schedule for playtime as well as a schedule for television watching which I find really agreeable.

My son has his schedule now but not me. Well, at my age I think I can sleep whenever I want. I don’t stay up so late though. It totally depends on how my games go. I’ve started to play slots online and I’m kind hooked on ’em already. My fiancĂ© knows about it and he says that as long as I am having fun, then no problem with him.

It all started when I was just browsing online looking for something to get busy with and kill time. That’s when I came across one online casino whose reviews I’ve read touting them as the best online casino. I started playing then but it was how to play blackjack online that I checked first. But after that, it was the online slots that really got me hooked. There’s been no boring time for me since then. But I figured that I needed to make a schedule on my playtime too because if I will let it consume me, I would not be productive when it comes to my online and offline tasks anymore. I don’t want that to happen so, just like my son, I should manage my time effectively. But all work and no play make Jack a dull boy, doesn’t it? So, my playtime will be there and it won’t be totally eradicated. (“,)
