Music Monday: New Divide by Linkin Park

One thing that my son and my fiance' have in common is that they both like Linkin Park. Among Linkin Park's song, this song is my son's most fav. He likes the movie Transformers a lot and that's where he first heard this song. And from then on, he's been singing it and he almost memorize the whole lyrics actually. (",) I like the tune of this song too, very upbeat and danceable. Happy Music Monday!

Poor Mom

I talked to mom yesterday and she was complaining about her knees. I thought it might be arthritis. She’s never had arthritis but I have this feeling it’s what she’s experiencing now based on the symptoms that she’s having. I told her to check with her doctor because maybe she needs treatments for arthritis. She still has to make an appointment with her doctor and she will let me know of the results as soon as possible. Get well soon, mom!

You Can Still Call Me

As soon as my friends here in the U.S.A. learned about my arrival, they’ve been asking for my phone number. I had to give them our landline number since I don’t have a cellphone yet. My fiancé told me I will have one soon. I am not in a hurry though since we still have a lot of things to do to get settled in. Having a cellphone is not on my priority list at the moment. Besides, we do have our landline so no biggy. I actually told my fiance’ not to get me one but he insisted on getting one for me since I will not be staying at home always and forever. Hehe. I guess he will have to check on an iphone warranty too since he knows I want an iphone for myself. What do you think, Honey? (“,)

You’ll Need Your Vitamins to Keep Up With Me, Honey

Our first stop at the supermarket yesterday was the mens vitamin section. My fiance never fails to take his vitamins daily so he needed to buy some since he’s almost out of them. He asked me what vitamins I wanted but I couldn’t decide right then and there so I just told him that I will think about it first. I am not really a vitamin person. I only take one whenever I don’t feel good or whenever I feel sick. I know vitamins are a must-take everyday. Well, if he asks again, maybe I’ll have an answer. And that’s because I am not feeling good today, feeling a little dizzy. I do wonder why? Lack of sleep or better yet, lack of vitamins. Hehe.

Nighttime is the Right Time for the Best

We went shopping for groceries yesterday and gladly, I didn’t forget to buy my night cream. I almost run out of it and I can’t last a night without using some. I don’t know, it has been a part of my before bedtime rituals for years and my night is not complete without putting it on my face. I consider it my best friend, my oh so best night cream. (“,)

I get to use it for a month though so I will be getting one again in a month’s time. That’s still a long way to go. I will savor each moment with my newly-bought night cream for now and think about buying one again soon.

Summer's Christening Tarpaulin

My 14-year-old niece, Mawee has always been fond of editing pictures using Adobe or Photoshop and I can say, she's getting better by the day. That's why my brother never hesitated to ask her in regard to her cousin Summer's tarpaulin that is going to be used on her Christening.

And the picture you are seeing above was the finished product. It was so nice that my brother and SIL decided to use it for the invitations too. Way to go, Mawee!

Cyber Monday Awaits Me

What comes after Black Friday? Cyber Monday of course! Yes! And I will be able to experience it finally. I can’t wait to grab all the great deals that I want. Does that mean I will shop ‘til I drop? Well, I think that remains to be seen. And if there will be somebody who will get worried about it, it’s not me but my fiancé because he will be my financer. LOL. I just hope he gets to read this so he gets a heads up on what to expect. Hee hee.

I “Desire” a New Phone

There are now a lot of new gadgets on the market. In cellphones alone, there are like hundreds of them being introduced on an ongoing basis. I do wonder how people can keep track of the latest of the latest, the best of the best. I will be buying myself a new cellphone soon and I am actually still undecided on what to get myself. I heard about the new htc desire smartphone and when I checked it online, I really like the way it looks. We’ll see what happens next.

You Go, Girls; the Future Awaits You!

Seeing that I have two young nieces on the verge of those years where they will begin blossoming into young ladies, I do all I can to lead them and give guidance to help them navigate that mysterious path on the way to womanhood. And one thing I’m already looking into is trying to find the best acne treatments available to aid them wage the battle against that insidious enemy of beautiful, flawless skin.

Being in your teen years can be traumatic enough- been there, done that – and the last thing a young girl needs is the issue of worrying about their beauty. And I want them to stay as beautiful as they already are so that all those boys that are already ringing the girls' phones off the hook will soon come knocking at their door.

He Thinks He’s So Smart

My family’s company is always doing promotions to advertise our business. We’ve found cheap custom pens next day shipping to be a great asset to our endeavors of getting the word out to the public of what we have to offer. But I’ve even thought about getting some for my fiancé to use working his New York Times Crossword Puzzles and the Sudoku number puzzles he loves doing. And him being the show off he is, he likes to do them in ink, not pencil, just to show how smart he is. So that gives me an idea of the super-inflated ego I’ll soon be dealing with on a daily basis. Oh well: at least I know what I’m getting myself into; at least I hope I do. (“,)

Let the Adventure Begin

And finally, the day is here: my fiancé arrived after his long trip on to westward, being in the air over 21-hours. When he was here last year, he had many problems with his cell phone. After being told it would work here in my country, much to his chagrin, it didn’t.

But that was okay with him because he has a way of handling such problems. After calling his provider and expressing his dissatisfaction in a very overt way, they actually gave him a $150.00 phone for free with the promise that it would work anywhere in the world. The only thing was he received no cell phone accessories with it, but he sure wasn’t going to complain about that since he got the newest state-of-the-art phone at no cost.

Ironically, though, he’ll not have much more need of the phone for international calling anymore because this time when he flies back to eastward on his way home, I’ll be going with him. HURAAAH! But then again, I’ll certainly be needing his phone to call mom and dad so I can share the adventure of my new life with them.

Mission Accomplished

I had some important documents photocopied today at a nearby store here in our subdivision. Now, all missions are accomplished for me in regard to the documents needed for our trip to Manila and then on to eastward to be with my hubby to be.

I only had four documents photocopied but it took me almost twenty minutes there at the store because as soon as the lady was photocopying the second document, the printer quit working. She had to check it and found out that it needed xerox toner. I thought it would take her an hour or two to fix it but gladly, it didn’t. And now I'm good to go and ready to begin the greatest adventure of my life.
