My Pink Planner

I've missed three weeks of GT and that's because my schedule was really kind of hectic. Aside from accomplishing missions offline, I also had my online tasks to do, one of which is tending my homestead. If you're a facebook app fanatic, then you would know what I mean. Hee hee. Nah, just been really busy and more often than not, the busiest day falls on a Thursday. Oh well...

Anyway, pink it is and here's my pink planner that I bought in June of this year to keep notes of my itineraries, etc. As I've said, I had quite a lot of missions to accomplish so to keep track of what I've already accomplished and is yet to accomplish, I bought myself this at National Bookstore. Nice, huh? (",)

A New Home Awaits Me!

My fiancé is continuing with his home renovation at present with the help of his stepson who is a carpenter. They started with the bedrooms last week and are now putting on the finishing touches. Their next stop will be the kitchen. They will put up mosaic tiles for the backsplash, change the counter top, repaint the whole area as well as the cabinets and change the flooring too. He wants to buy new appliances too but he is thinking that he will just wait for me to shop for those because he wants me to choose what I like.

That’s how busy he is now and most probably, I will be super busy too when I get there. But I can’t wait because you know me: I love to do shopping galore!

Wrinkle Us Not! We're Still Too Young!

I went to my sister's bank yesterday to withdraw money. Though it wasn’t my plan to go there, but I had no choice after finding out that the ATM at the other bank near theirs was offline. She was pretty busy when I got there but was still able to entertain me real good. But of course, I am a client, as well as her sis'. Hehe.

Yes, she was busy but we still managed to have a little chitchat and even kidded each other on the fine lines and wrinkles that are becoming visible on our faces. She has a mirror at her desk and she checks her face every now and then, even while talking to me. Well, I can’t blame her. She gets to meet and talk to different people from all walks of life and she has been advised to be presentable all the time.

We both agreed that maybe we should start looking for anti wrinkle creams and perhaps read some anti wrinkle cream reviews at the soonest possible time. Time is running out because the wrinkles are starting to run rampant so we better start moving. LOL.

Music Monday: Remember Me This Way by Jordan Hill

I love the movie Casper and I've seen it numerous times. That's how I like it. It was shown on HBO last month, I think, and my 7-year-old son had fun time watching it too. And this song from the movie is one of my favorites. Happy Music Monday! (",)

If Men Only Knew the Trials of Being a Woman

It’s been five days now that I've had this annoying acne on my face. It’s only one pimple but still it’s annoying because it is located on my left cheek right under my eye, making it so visible to everyone. I am having my monthly period now, thus, the acne. I am still thankful though that I only have this problem whenever I have these hormonal changes, unlike some individuals who have deal with it almost every single day of their lives.

It’s not aching now, unlike the first couple of days when I thought of getting myself the best acne medication I could find. It can be itchy at times and I don't want to scratch it because it might get irritated or, even worse, infected. That would be an additional problem and might leave a scar. Anyway, it will be gone soon so I will just have to deal with it, as if I have a choice.

I'm a Lucky Girl

What is your beauty regimen? Are you the type who can’t go out without putting on face creams like moisturizer or sun block first? Mine is simple: I do put moisturizer, but only in the evening; I call it my before bedtime rituals. I just wash my face with either a facial wash or soap then put on moisturizer and that’s it. Very simple but I am proud to say that I have a flawless face that some people envy.

I don’t mean to sound braggadocio but I am fortunate to have inherited my mom’s smooth skin which is blemish and acne free. I do get acne from time to time but it’s not an everyday thing and has never been a problem. But to keep what one has, one must be vigilant and take care of things, be it of the material world, or your own self.

Brown is Beautiful

It’s always summer here in our country all throughout the year and that’s because we have a tropical climate and are located near the equator. But despite that, people who are so into tanning still resort to using tanning beds. I've never used one but I do have an idea how they work based on those I’ve seen on television. The equipment is state of the art and it really fascinates me.

You just have to lie down and relax, making sure you put tanning bed lotion all over your body and, viola, over a short period of time you will get your much desired tan. Simply amazing, isn’t it? Maybe I will try it someday, just for the experience!

In2It

That's the name of my newly bought lipstick and lip gloss. I chose the color myself when mom and I went to the mall. I was not supposed to buy one. We went to the mall for something else but after seeing the pair, I remembered that I needed a new lipstick. Only the lip stick supposedly but when the saleslady showed me the lip gloss, I find it so nice thus, I purchased it too.

So there they are. I was looking for an apricot color but there was none available. This is the nearest color to apricot so that's it. Nice!

Sleep is Essential For a Hard Working Man

At this early in the morning, I am reading a lunesta review because I’ve been wanting to help my fiancé who has been having a hard time sleeping lately. As per him, he doesn’t feel anything bad. He still feels very good as he’s always does but the only problem is, he's having trouble sleeping. He’s a coffee drinker so I do wonder if maybe he’s drinking too much of it throughout the day?

So I’ve been reading about sleeping pills thinking that maybe it is the answer to his dilemma. I’ve already been enlightened but I still have to let him know about it. The decision is his to make, so I’ll wait and see what he says about it, with hopes that he'll listen to me.

Mom's Belly is Big, But It's Not a Baby

Mom was talking to a friend on the phone yesterday and you know what they were talking about? Same thing as usual – how to lose belly fat fast. Mom has gained weight over the years and she’s having a hard time losing it now. Maybe her age has got something to do with that. She’s been advised to lose weight because of her diabetes and though she’s been trying hard, she’s just not been successful.

That’s the dilemma of some of her friends too and that’s probably why they get along pretty well because they always have something to talk about; LOL! But what’s good with them is that they can still laugh about their belly fat. Maybe they have concluded that there’s no remedy for them. Hee hee.

I Like To Keep It Simple

I’ve always kept it simple when it comes to my choice of apparel and my friends and family can attest to that. I prefer casual dresses over formal ones. I am comfortable wearing them and only go dressy/formal when the occasion calls for it. Otherwise, a casual dress will be my get-up. They are more comfy for me to wear.

My preference hasn’t changed at all over the years. But that doesn’t mean I won’t wear a formal dress. I will, if it’s needed, and I will actually be wearing one soon – at my brother’s wedding.

Music Monday: Girl on TV by LFO

The death of LFO's lead Rich Cronin really surprised me. I saw it on Yahoo news last week. He's been battling Leukemia since 2005 but I didn't know about that, and that's probably why they're not heard nor seen anymore. He was only 35 when he died. Still so young, eh! But such is life.

Anyway, I like this song of theirs a lot and that news made me decide to have their song as my entry this week. In memory of Rich...

Happy Birthday to ME!

This is the new pair of shoes that I purchased just recently. I bought them as a gift to myself on my 35th birthday. There were a lot of nice pairs that I saw while I was shopping and I actually got the itch to buy more than one pair but stopped myself. It’s already beyond my budget and gladly I was able restrain myself because I didn't want to end up broke because I had also bought several tops as an extra gift to myself. I just won’t tell how many because my fiancé might be shocked. LOL.

When it comes to shopping, there are times that I just don’t seem to know how to stop. I can be an impulsive buyer and that’s one reason why I closed my credit card account so I wouldn’t be tempted to splurge anymore. I always get an update of my credit reports so I know my financial standing and I am proud to say that though I do splurge at times, I’ve never gone beyond my limits and I plan on keeping it that way.

Share and Share Alike

It’s September, which means the “ber” months have started and that fills me with glee. You want to know why? Well, aside from the fact that September is my birth month, it also says that Christmas is just around the corner. I know! I know! There is still more or less three months more to go before the holiday season but there is always this feeling that the days fly by so fast whenever September arrives, and before we know it, we’re already hearing Christmas carols everywhere and seeing Christmas decor adorn our surroundings. And not to forget, the Christmas shopping time will soon be upon us. Oh boy! Before I know it, I'll be at the mall shopping for Christmas presents, which always excites me.

I've already decided what I want to give to my nephews and nieces. They’ve been raring to have MP3 players, so if my budget will allow me, each of them will get one. If not, then perhaps, they can all share one if I buy each family one instead of giving individually. That's not such a bad idea, for the true spirit of the holidays is the sharing of peace, love and joy.

My son and I like this song a lot and we've been singing it since yesterday. It's very danceable that it makes me want to dance and partey! LOL.

You Can't Really Put A Price On Life

I talked to a good friend early today and she told me about the adjustments that she's had to go through living in a new country with an entirely different kind of culture than she's used to. She’s been in Michigan for only six months now yet she’s already learned a lot. But she’s certain that she’s still got a lot more yet to learn.

Today, she was surprised to learn how much life insurance costs. Her husband already has a policy and he’s going to get one for her too. Learning the cost really surprised her. She never thought it would be that much. I told her to try looking at other companies because I know some do offer considerable savings. But I think they’re going to stick with his current company because he's pleased with their service. Well, the most important thing is, despite the costly price, she’ll be covered. But thankfully, I won't have to worry about that kind of culture shock since my fiancé gets his insurance coverage through his employer at a cut-rate cost.

My Red Heart-Shaped Pillow

The girls will be talking colors this whole month of September (my birth month! yay!). That's how colorful our lives are. Hehe. Red is the first one and upon knowing it, I immediately browsed my album folders if there is anything I can find. I am not really a fan of red when it comes to apparel, bags or shoes, etc. though it would be my color choice for a wedding motif because of its meaning which is "everlasting love". I'm not that cheesy, am I? Harhar.

Anyway, this red heart-shaped pillow means a lot to me. This is a gift from my fiance' on Valentine's Day. Our first Valentine's Day ever! We were not together to celebrate that special day though since we are thousand miles apart but thanks to online shops. He ordered this online plus other stuff and delivered to me. (",)
