Music Monday: Somewhere Somehow by Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant

Very heart-warming song! (",)

Standing in our silence
I hear my heart beating
And if only I could choose
I'd stay here with you
But hold me till the train is leaving

Somewhere down the line
After you're gone from sight
Our love will be the same
And whispering your name
I'll cling to you with all my might

He Hates to Shop! But Lucky For Him, I Don't

I talked for two hours straight with my fiancé on Skype today. We just don’t seem to ever run out of topics. Well, what can I say? The weekend is the only time that we can talk for any length of time due to our schedules and the vast miles and time zones between us, so we definitely make the most of it.

Our topic can be just about anything. And today we talked about shopping – one of the most fav topics for us women. Men are not so much into shopping but it so happened that he mentioned needing some new apparel for work. He needs new footwear too but the company will provide them as well as all the other industrial equipment needed to do his job safely and properly.

I told him in jest that I will shop for his gear myself since I do love shopping. He just laughed about it. It’s still impossible to do that now since we’re thousands of miles apart. But soon I will.

Music Monday: I Still Believe In You by Vince Gill

I love country music and this is one of the most favorite songs that I really like from one of my favorite country music artists. It's been a long time since the last time I listened to this. I don't know, I just remembered the song last night and I told myself, this song will be my entry this week. Very nice, huh?

Top Gun

One of my favorite movies of all time. Who didn't go gaga over Tom Cruise when this movie was shown? Raise your hand! LOL.

I was in high-school that time and I can still vividly remember that our bedroom wall was full of Tom Cruise's posters. Me and my older sister were so into him that we almost like bought a poster of him every week. Beat that! Hee hee.

I love action flicks and this movie is simply one of the best for me. And don't forget the soundtrack. Really nice! This may be a movie from the 80's but guess what? It seem like I can't get enough of this movie and I still would love to watch it over and over again and I guess my sister feels the same way too. And of course, my two brothers. Men do love action pictures though I think they found the romantic part a bit sappy. (",)

Music Monday: And I Love You So by Perry Como

My BA sent me an e-card yesterday with this video in it plus a very touching and heart-warming message. There was no occasion whatsoever. He was just being romantic and sweet as always. Now, whose heart would not melt with such a very romantic gesture? (",)

I Know what’s On His Mind

I am not into exercise, and now my being lazy to do it is taking its toll on me. I always feel lazy to move and always just want to sit here in front of the PC and browse ‘til I drop. My fiancé has been telling me to exercise or to at least just do a little stretching in the morning, but being the stubborn me that I am, I haven‘t done a thing. I did tell him that I’ll exercise if we do it together. And much to my surprise, he said, “But of course. Get your running shorts on and I’ll race you. We’ll fly like the wind!”

Uh-oh! Now I think I really need to comply with his wishes or I will be dead meat, huh? LOL. He’s been exercising since his teen years and that’s why he’s always good to go and ready to rumble – one of the reasons why I love him so much. Oh well, before I get mushy here, let me go check for that outfit and get ready for his arrival because I really know what he’s up to: he wants us to exercise and run together just so he can see me in my sexy running outfit. He can be a bad boy sometimes, and I really love it when he's that kind of bad. Hee-Hee-Hee.

If He Took a Pic’ of My Heart, He’d See His Name

The digital camera that I got as gift from my fiancé on my birthday last year with its blue camera case will be turning a year old in less than a month’s time because I will be a year older then. Gee, time flies when you're having fun, huh? The moment I opened his gifts for me with him sitting beside me is still very vivid to me, and the moments that followed that evening were captured by the digital camera itself. And since then, my digital camera has been very useful to me.

My fiancé did know how much I wanted one and that’s why it was the first thing that he thought of giving me. And he didn’t need to read camera reviews because he already knew what was the best one to grab – a digital camera that is exactly the same as his. So now, we both have the same camera. Isn’t that sweet? I do wonder what I am going to get on my upcoming birthday, though. Knowing him to be generous, I do believe he already has something up his sleeve. A camcorder perhaps? Hee hee. We’ll see about that. But here’s hoping!

The Bridges of Madison County

I haven't seen the movie but I read the book. The first ever book that my fiance' shared with me. He so loves it because the main character played by Clint Eastwood speaks so much of him. The story doesn't tell about his life story though.

I fell in love with the book. It may haven't had a happy ending but the love of the two characters Robert and Francesca towards each other is just so admirable. A love that is so powerful and true. The kind of love that we all wanted.

The movie is a must-see I know, and it's highly recommended by my fiance'. I am going to watch it soon too, for sure, but with him. We both want to watch it together. Isn't that romantic? (",)

You may want to watch it with your boyfriend, fiance' or husband too. That would be nice!

Music Moday: Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion

This is for you, BA...Mwah!

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

Liar Liar

We will be talking about movies for the whole month of August - movies that we would recommend seeing with a friend, boyfriend, sister/brother and enemy. I love the movies so this sure would be fun!

This was the movie that I thought of instantly as soon as I read the word "friend" in the list of topics that we will have for this month. You want to know why? That's because among the many traits that I don't like in a friend, being a LIAR tops my list. I hate it when a friend lies! How I wish they will be able to master that craft though so I won't catch them lying again.

Just like in this movie, how I wish that there will be a day that they can't lie so they would realize how bad it is. I don't lie that's why I hate it so much when somebody lies at me. Is telling the truth really hard? Well, for those who are born to lie, I guess it is! What do you think?

Anyway, this movie is hilarious and I really had a good laugh watching it, not to mention the actor Jim Carrey is one of the best comedians in Hollywood. (",)

Attention All Ne’er Do Wells: You Best Beware of This Li'l Kitten

Whenever I go out with my friends, they already know that one of them will have to take me home because I'm really afraid to ride in a cab by myself. I don’t trust anyone, especially if it’s late in the evening. Maybe I'd have the guts to travel alone if I had one of those stun guns for self defense but I don’t have one.

There was a time that I actually looked for pepper spray or mace to bring with me in my bag because I used to work until 11 o’clock in the evening. My job called for a shifting rotational schedule and I couldn’t do anything but deal with it. I never got myself any self defense product because I couldn’t find any. Lucky for me, I am still alive after dealing with that job and those late hours for over a year. But I will get myself something soon, and be it pepper spray, mace or a a stun gun, those bad guys best watch out 'cause this li'l kitten will turn into a wild cat and not only claw their eyes out but also give them a stunning wake up call to be a good boy. HEE-HEE-HEE…MEEOOOOW!

Party Gurlz Singing the Night Away!

A night of KTV or videoke! That’s what my friends and I had a couple of nights ago and we had a blast. There were four of us and we got an exclusive room that had a state of the art sound system. It was so nice and I felt like my voice sounded like that of a professional artist when I sang. Yeah...maybe I am getting the big head a little bit. LOL.

The room that was given to us was adjacent to the kitchen and we could actually hear the water from the faucets running whenever the waiters opened the door but it didn’t stop us from singing to the top of our lungs and partying the night away. It was really a blast and we still didn't get our fill of it. I've included pictures for you to see. We are planning on doing it again pretty soon and we all can’t wait!

Singing to the top of my lungs! (",)

Music Monday: Bad Day by Daniel Powter

Love this song!!! Happy Music Monday one and all!!!

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to gray
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee you go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces every time
And I don't need no carryin' on
