Ring-a-Ling, My New Phone Will be the Thing!

I know nothing is certain yet but I do believe my instincts: later this year or early next year, I will be having a new cellphone courtesy of my fiancĂ©. I can’t bring my cellphone with me to his place because it won't work there, so he will just get me a new one. He’s already planned that and has actually chosen one for me. He hasn’t told me the model and brand yet because as always, he wants to surprise me, but he did tell me one thing: the phone will be equipped with accessories and will be an unlocked phone like his so we can be assured it will work anywhere, unlike my current phone.

Isn’t he just so sweet? To tell you the truth, he never fails to melt my heart. Yes, I'm being cheesy again! LOL.

It's Time to Get With it, Honey, and Save Money!

Collecting coupons is one of the many things that my friends in the U.S. are fond of doing. Who wouldn’t be? You just have to collect them, totally free, and you will get instant discounts on items of your choice. Unfortunately, I can’t enjoy it because we don’t have such promotions here in our country. But once I get there, I will grab the chance of collecting as much as I can and I will try to get my fiancĂ© into doing so too. He’s super busy with work that there are times that he doesn’t even have time to turn on the TV or read the newspaper and that’s why he don’t have time to find and collect coupons. Well, for sure he will have time when I get there; I'll see to it because I will force him to make the time so it will be fun and frugal for the both of us. So has been said, the more, the merrier! I Believe in Him

Spiritually, I am not the type who goes to church regularly but being a Catholic, I know going to church is an obligation. I used to hear mass regularly during my younger years but it changed when I started seeing and knowing people who claim they're religious but unfortunately, it was merely hypocrisy. Going to church always doesn't mean you're making Him happy. It's what's inside you that matters - are you true to yourself and towards others. If you're not then you're not being true towards God too and for me, it's simply nonsense.

They may not consider me religious enough if going to church regularly and being a member of church organizations is how they define it. But I know for certain what my beliefs are and I will stand by it. I do believe in God and he is the center of our family. And we never fail to thank Him for all the blessings and happiness he has surrounded our life with everyday.

Music Monday: A New Day Has Come by Celine Dion

Love this song, perfect for my BA and I but I haven't heard it for a while until it was one of the songs used at the show "So you think you can dance."

I see a light in the sky, Oh, it's almost blinding me, I can't believe, I've been touched by an angel with love...

I've Been a Busy Li'l Bee of a Girl!

Yesterday was a very busy and long day for me. But I wasn’t busy shopping, though, believe it or not. Hehe. I ran errands as well as processed some important documents needed for my trip soon. If not for the best vitamins for women that I use, I would have surely been exhausted because it was so hot and I had to do a lot of walking.

It took me about three hours to accomplish my missions and though I was a little tired, knowing that I had accomplished my missions, I couldn’t have been happier. There's more missions coming up soon, though, but I am more than happy to embrace them because it only means one thing: we’re getting close to turning our dream into reality. I hope everything will fall into place the way we hope. Fingers crossed!

No Einstein

Mentally, I think I would rate myself as above-average or maybe average. I really don't know. Hehe. Well, I guess I will let you decide which is which. So let me give you a background on how was I as a stud.

Back in grade school, I was an active student and was a constant honor student. I had joined several quiz-bees, oratorical contests, spelling bees and more often than not, I brought home the bacon. But things were different in high-school and college. I still did good in academics but I wasn't that active as compared to elementary. It has something to do with low self-esteem, I guess. More smarter people surrounded me and I just seemed to get intimated by them and I shied away. (",) Nevertheless, I finished my bachelor's degree with no "F" so I think that's good enough. LOL. So what do you think?

Music Monday: Jesus Take the Wheel by Carrie Underwood

Such a soulful song. Very relaxing to listen to...

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

We Said "Yes" to A Great Idea

Mom is fond of collecting Yes! Magazine – an entertainment magazine that features celebrities here in our country and the showbusiness scene they're involved in. The magazine also features celebrity homes which are actually the main reason why mom loves the magazine so much, and me too. Their homes are just awesome and they don’t only awe us but we get ideas from them.

One idea that we got was using those low voltage landscape lights for the garden which one celebrity used. As I’ve mentioned before, mom has a garden and it’s one thing that keeps her constantly busy. Her garden already looked nice before the lights were installed but it looks great now, especially during night time. See what those magazines can help you do.

I Want to Be Strong and Healthy when the Magic Moment Comes

The show “The Doctors” really got me hooked lately for one simple reason: it is very informative, health wise. I’ve discovered new information that has been really helpful, some of which I never gave a thought to before. The show tackles every health fact there is and they give good advice. One nice thing about the show is its humor. You would think that a health show would be filled with serious doctors with no sense of humor at all, but not this one. Humor is included which makes the show more entertaining.

I’ve been watching it for months now and I’ve been keeping an eye out for a topic I so want for them to address and that’s about womens vitamins. I know there are a lot of vitamins for women out there but I want to hear from them what are the best ingredients to look for and the best one to take. I hope they tackle it soon because I know I'm going to need all the strength possible when me and my fiancĂ© finally tie that proverbial knot. (",)

Such A Joker

This is just one of the many gifts mom received on her birthday. But the lady who gave this, mom’s companion in the church organization that she’s in, had something to tell before she handed mom the gift. Her exact words, “Perfect for belly fat reduction!” And they all had a laugh about that. But of course it was a joke. Mom says they always kid each other about their belly fat whenever they’re together.

What was inside the gift package was a lovely wallet and a bill. They say giving a wallet with money in it brings luck to whom the wallet is given. But I do wonder, though: does it also reduce belly fat? (“,)

Frugal but Sometimes Impulsive

Girls Talk

When it comes to spending my hard-earned money... yes, I can really be frugal especially if there's not enough money for shopping left. LOL. But when I just got my paycheck from "Sheriff" (Guess you know who he is. Hee hee), my hands just get itchy to shop. But I don't shop 'til I drop, okay? I just buy a thing here and a thing there and not just for me but for my unico hijo too but I must admit, sometimes I really am impulsive when it comes to it. What can I say? Shopping is every girl's weakness! Agree girls??? ^-^

But I do know how to budget my money because I have my son's tuition to pay who's studying in Montessori School. I also have the internet, cable and credit card bills to think of too. Gladly, I'm free from other bills like electricity, phone and water because we're living at my parents' house and the accommodation is free. Weeee! But I do buy groceries from time to time. (",)

Music Monday: Brown Eyes by Destiny's Child

Love this song! Perfect for my hazel brown eyed, BA. (",)

Remember the first day when I saw your face
Remember the first day when you smiled at me
You stepped to me and then you said to me
I was the woman you dreamed about
Remember the first day when you called my house
Remember the first day when you took me out
we had butterflies although we tried to hide
and we both had a beautiful night

Movie Magic Awaits Me

My much-awaited movie, "Eclipse", from the Twilight Saga is finally at the cinemas now. I’ve seen the first two in the series, "Twilight" and "New Moon", and my excitement to watch the third one is just as same as the first two, if not more. Seeing the trailer makes me anxious to see it but I need to stop myself for now because I don’t have moolah to enjoy the movie just yet. LOL.

I have to work my butt off first to have the money that I need – do the tasks for our family business as well as my online tasks and perhaps I could insert the task from mom which is to read nuphedragen reviews for her. As they say, business first before leisure. And money first before you can indulge in leisure. Well, not unless someone will treat me to the movies. Do I see any hands raising out there?

My Brother's Vanishing Act

Whenever our relatives who we haven’t seen for a long time see my brother Erwin, they have the same surprising remark as everybody else: Why is my brother having hair loss at the early age of 35. It actually began its gradual disappearance when he was in his late 20’s. It's most likely a hereditary thing, in the family genes, but my dad is not having hair loss problems even at the age of 64. Imagine that!

There was a time in his life that he was eager to seek a treatment for it and was adamant about finding the best cure for hair loss. He did find one but never followed through on it for some reason and just accepted the fact and his fate. Hehe.

But not to worry, bro. You still look good without hair, and that’s even according to your wifey Karen. (“,)

I Spotted the Spots!

After thinking and watching herself in the mirror a dozen times, mom finally decided to let me dye her hair yesterday. We always do the dyeing ourselves since it is much cheaper; 5x or more as compared to having done it in a beauty parlor. We just buy hair dye at the mall and we color each other’s hair. But I haven’t had mine colored lately because it’s still good to go, unlike mom’s whose white hairs which seemed to be multiplying daily.

I was waiting for her while prepping the materials when I thought of scrutinizing my face in the mirror that she put on top of the patio table. And that’s when I realized that I need some age spots removal because tiny age spots are starting to show on my beloved face. Hehe. Well, I’m in my early 30’s and it can’t be denied that age spots or skin pigmentation will start to show. But it’s up to me to decide whether I want them to stop or let them get worse. Prevention is better than cure so I should act now, or be sorry later.
