Goodies I Wish I Could Have

My sister-in-law is selling perfumes, bags, slippers, t-shirts and more and she posts them on her Facebook account whenever there are new arrivals. With her recent uploads, this set of perfumes here with a lovely purse captured my attention instantly. I really like them but upon seeing the price, I had second thoughts all of a sudden. They're even more expensive than those Moen kitchen faucets, and not near as useful. They're not something that I can afford because it’s out of my budget at this time. I need to save a little more to be able to indulge in such glamorous things.

She still has a lot of stock and she told me that if ever I’m already ready to buy and she's ran out of stock that'll be no problem for she can order from her sister anytime. Nice! (“,)

The Last Time I Pig Out

It was last month when my girlfriends and I thought of having a double celebration and that's to celebrate a friend's birthday and another friend's baby shower party. I could really say that I did pig out that time. All of us actually. The food were so yummy that it all left us stuffed. Below are what we had.

We had chocolate cake from Red Ribbon for dessert and you know well how yummy their cakes are. Now I'm getting hungry talking about this. (",)

Fancy Footwear For Me

Before I browse for an insurance quote that mom tasked me to do, let me first share with you my latest acquisition. I did previously mention about mom getting a new pair of Juicy slippers, right? I did mention too about thinking of getting a pair for myself. And guess what? I did get myself a pair. And here they are! Aren't they nice? I like 'em because they're very comfortable to wear. Just don’t ask me how much they cost; a woman has her secrets; but they were definitely worth the price. Most probably, my feet will get worn out first before the slippers. Hehe.

I’d Slip Away With Mom's Slippers, If They Fit (",)

Mom just bought herself a new pair of Juicy slippers yesterday and I really like them. They were a little expensive but were definitely worth the price because they're very comfy to wear. I wish I had the same shoe size as mom but, unfortunately, her feet are way bigger than mine. Maybe I’ll just get my own pair. They would be worth every penny and, besides, my old slippers are totally worn out.

Hmmm…thinking…thinking…thinking! Oh well, I’ll decide later. I will browse for supplement reviews for dad first and hopefully I'll have made my decision by the time I'm done with my browsing. Reading reviews will take me an hour or so, I guess, and I think that will give me enough time to make my decision. And who knows? I may decide to get me a new pair of pajamas to match my new slippers.

Food I Choose First on A Buffet

No other than...PASTA! Yep, it's the very first thing that I check. I am such a pasta lover and I can just have pasta for lunch or dinner especially lasagna. Yummy!

A Friend Indeed

I’ve been blogging for more than two years now and looking back, I can still remember how I started and how my friend and mentor guided me all throughout the way until I got my first review to write and celebrated with me on my first payday. She taught me a lot about earning online and it’s not just about blogging but also through surveys, affiliate programs, etc. I can’t thank her enough for I not only learned a lot but it has been a great help for me when it comes to my income since it’s one of my sources.

Big hugs to you my friend and I know you’ll be blessed a hundredfold because you’ve been such a blessing to me.

A Lucky Lady Am I

This is the engagement ring my fiancé gave me. It’s not one of those million dollar diamonds but it still is a diamond – a Russian diamond to be exact. He wanted to buy me one after he proposed to me while here on his vacation, to show his commitment to me. I chose it myself and I love its simplicity but this won’t be our official engagement ring for my fiancé will replace it with a white gold one once we're together again – the kind of jewelry that he fancies the most and one that will match our wedding rings. This is already enough for me but the idea of having an engagement ring that matches the wedding band is something that is very special to me and I can’t wait until we shop for those two rings. (“,)

My Most Expensive Breaky

It was the last day of my fiance's 16-day vacay here when we thought of having our breakfast together at the hotel where he stayed. Yes, that was our first since he always have had his breakfast at the hotel alone and comes to visit me at home afterward. We did share lunch and dinner every single day of those 16 days but that's another story.

The hotel offers buffet breakfast everyday for their occupants for free. But since I'm not an occupant, my fiance' had to pay about 400 pesos for this plate here. That's already expensive for me since if you can see, I only had a few strips of bacon, some nuggets and some sausages plus fried rice. I never really thought it would cost that much but oh well, coming from the best hotel that we have here in the city, that's given, I should say.

Anyway, it's breakfast time for me now and just looking and this plate here makes me hungry the more. I still can remember how yummy that breaky of mine was. So, I think I need to go and fix me some breaky. My pets are growling. LOL.

School's Out For My Son, But I'm Still Learning

It’s still summer here in our part of the world and there's less than two months before the next school year begins but, believe it or not, I’m already thinking of shopping for my son Yogi’s school things this early. Classes start in June and it won’t be the best time to shop then because the malls will be crowded with last-minute shoppers, not to mention the long queues I'd have to go deal wth. So, to avoid those annoying circumstances, I want to get it done ASAP, as in right now.

But I can still do some contemplating about what to buy him since I still have the whole month of April to take care of that business. And in the meantime, I can continue my research about Mesothelioma Cancer. I’ve been procrastinating about it lately and I want to know more about it since my fiance' does the type of work that could put him at risk of such, and I want to be able to share with him the things he needs to know to protect himself. By doing that, I'll not worry so much about him and his job, and in helping him keep safe, he and I and Yogi will have many more summers to share together.

Sad But Sweet Memories

In three months’ time it will be the 4th anniversary of my late husband’s death. It may have been long ago but I can still remember everything that we went through. From the time he was diagnosed with his illness, to resigning from his work so he could get his social security disability, then to the ordeals of his treatment for two years until he passed away. It was hard but those difficult times made me a better and stronger person and I know there is a reason for everything.

You may wonder why I thought of it all of a sudden. Well, I was cleaning my dresser drawers when I saw his wallet still filled with his photos and IDs. I've kept it there and I have no plans of ever throwing it away. My son Yogi sometimes looks at them too and there’s always a smile on his face whenever he sees his daddy. I may sound sad and heartsick but, no, I've moved on as one must, and I've created a new life for me and my son with hopes of a happy future for the both of us. But his memory will definitely remain with us forever and he will always be a special part of our lives. (“,)

Li'l Boys Love Their Toys

Just like any other kid, my 7-year-old son is so much into toys. He’d always choose toys above anything else when he’s asked what gift he’d like to have. So for his 7th birthday on the 28th of March, toys were included on the list of things that I bought for him. I know he didn't want a new set of clothes but I still bought him some to wear at his birthday party. And these were the toys that added to his collection. A police car and a roller from my fiance’ and me and another car with a race track from my dad and mom. And he was so full of glee upon seeing them. Such is the happiness of a child.

Fave Junk Food: Chocolatey!

I've always been a chocolate person so it's always chocolates that I think of whenever I feel the need to munch sweets. Or even when it comes to drinks, pastries, cakes, etc. Chocolate will always be the flavor of my choice.

And here are just some of my favorite chocolates - a gift from my fiance' on Valentine's Day! He definitely knows my weakness. (",)

This is such a difficult time for my godmother's family as well as for my BA's. That's why I thought of this song as my entry for this week for I do know what they're going through right now for I lost my husband almost four years ago too.

My Comfort Food

Food galore is the theme for this month and who am I kidding? I won't miss talking about it for the world. LOL. I always love eating and trying different cuisines. For those who haven't seen me, you might think that I am fat or something, huh? Lucky me, I don't easily gain weight. I've always been skinny and though I did gain a li'l weight recently, still, it's not something you'd consider an excess.

Anyway, first off, I will talk about my comfort food. I haven't taken a photo of it so just to give you an idea, I took a photo from google. Yes, whenever I get hungry it has always been a sachet of milo that I grab from the pantry. If we ran out of stock, I just have to go the store across the lot and I already got myself one. But it's not just it. I can't just have it without something to pair it with. And it would either be a pack of skyflakes biscuits or just plain rice. With plain rice, maybe you could consider it as some kind of a milo soup then. LOL.
