Spiritually, I am not the type who goes to church regularly but being a Catholic, I know going to church is an obligation. I used to hear mass regularly during my younger years but it changed when I started seeing and knowing people who claim they're religious but unfortunately, it was merely hypocrisy. Going to church always doesn't mean you're making Him happy. It's what's inside you that matters - are you true to yourself and towards others. If you're not then you're not being true towards God too and for me, it's simply nonsense.
They may not consider me religious enough if going to church regularly and being a member of church organizations is how they define it. But I know for certain what my beliefs are and I will stand by it. I do believe in God and he is the center of our family. And we never fail to thank Him for all the blessings and happiness he has surrounded our life with everyday.

Hypocrisy aside, I learned that going to mass is like going to a wedding. You are invited to a wedding, and it is up to you if you would take the invitation or decline it. Unfortunately, these past few weeks, I have been declining. I do hope I can get over this thing that's wearing me down so I can feel good entering the house of God.
My GT post this week is up HERE.
Yeah, I agree you sis. Going to church is what inside your heart that matters. Nakita ko ang hypocrisy sa Jewish Religion, klarong klaro ko talaga!:)
Happy GT, sis:)
i guess it's what also made me not want to continue my regular church duties when i was younger. i saw way too many people who profess to be "religious" and insist that i become like them, but what i saw from what they do to other people simply discouraged me. i don't know if i will still be able to go back to believing in the church as i did before, but yes, i agree with you that it's our belief in God that matters most :)
agree...
