Tanning Lies and Truths

There's a lot of misinformation floating around about the safety of sun baking. We separate fact from fiction.

Lie: Tanning is the easiest way to soak up on vitamin D.
Tan Truth: The "sunshine vitamin" is important, but experts only recommend limited exposure to the sun - about two to 10 minutes a day. Also, get your vitamin D from supplements and milk.

Lie: Tanning doesn't promote skin ageing.
Tan Truth: UV exposure speeds up the accumulation of DNA mutations in the skin, promoting premature aging. So, wear broad spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 15, avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and three p.m., and apply sunscreen every 30 minutes.

Lie: Tanning on a cloudy day is okay since you can't get a sunburn.
Tan Truth: The UV radiation is partially reduced, but the cumulative effects of exposure to the sun can still wreak havoc on your skin. Even on cloudy days, stay protected with sunscreen.

Need Hair?

Since the beginning of time, hair loss has been an embarrassing problem for many individuals, and it can happen to anyone – regardless of age and gender. Women and men alike have been suffering this kind of problem; even my brother is no exception to this. His hair loss problem started a few years ago and up to now he’s been unable to find a solution to remedy the problem. We know a hair transplant is the best remedy but he’s not yet looked into it. But maybe soon since he’s been dying to fix his problem.

There’s a lot of factors that can cause hair loss. Some would consider the genes, and some say it could be because of one’s lifestyle. Whatever it is, the one who’s having the dilemma has only one thing in mind: a solution to his problem. There are other remedies aside from a hair transplant, but I know it is the safest and the most effective way of all.

Are you one of those who have been contemplating getting a hair transplant? Then I highly recommend Nu/Hart Hair Clinics. Being in the industry since 1984, they already have established a name of their own for providing a quality hair transplant procedure which is perhaps the simplest and the most natural solution to re-grow hair. And with their experienced transplant physicians, you are no doubt in good hands with them. Their hair transplant program is offered at a price reasonable enough for everyone. You can pay by cash, check, credit card or patient financing plans with zero interest. Where else could you find something like that?

Need more information? Feel free to check NuHart.com anytime. Consultation is totally free of charge. So, contact them whichever way you like – online, phone or in-person consultation. The choice is yours.

Yogi's Stuff

Friday, March 27th is Yogi's graduation. And the next day after that, the 28th is his 6th birthday. So, we went to the mall yesterday after visiting his doctor to bought him stuff and these are the things that i got for him. I'm just so glad that Yogi didn't argue with what i've selected for him. He argued with me the last time we were at the mall, you know. Hehe.

He'll wear the green short-sleeved and black pants on his graduation underneath the Toga. And he'll wear the brown polo-shirt on his birthday of course. I still have to buy him a pair of pants to pair it with and a new pair of shoes too. Maybe we'll do it on Tuesday.

As the famous cliche' goes, health is wealth! So how health conscious are you? Are you into exercise? I'm not into exercise but i do check my diet. But i must admit, i do get to indulge in certain foods at times especially sweets but it doesn't happen all the time and i know my limitations so i don't think it will do me harm.

Goodbye Master Rapper

March 6, Friday, i was blog hopping when i came to know the sad news about Francis Magalona's death. It was only an hour or two after he passed. He died of Leukemia at 12 noon in a hospital in Manila after undergoing eight months of Chemotherapy. He's only 44 and known for being the Philippines' Master Rapper, his death was considered to be a big loss in the music industry.

His death turned me back in time when i saw him in person when we were in Tacloban, Leyte in 1995. That was 13 years ago but his smiling face is still very vivid to me. He is a very good looking man, full of energy and is such a good performer. Sigh...

He maybe out of this world now but i know, his memory will surely remain.
