I don’t consider myself a couch potato but I must admit I do have my favorite channel among the local Filipino channels that we have and that’s ABS-CBN. Known as the “Kapamilya” network, a tag which means one family, the Philippines’ biggest network is owned by a popular family of businessmen here – the Lopez Family. A lot of people look up to them because they’ve made many Filipino’s life different and it’s not just because of the entertainment that they provide on television but also because of the charitable works that they do through their foundation helping those who are badly in need of help, be it because of catastrophe, crime or a problem that is simply brought on in the day-to-day course of living.
They have been of great help to the Philippines' educational system too and the Knowledge Channel and Department of Education renew basic education tools development partnership is an example of their wonderful philanthropic work. Be it about the network, the activities that they are into, special features that benefit everybody, the latest business news and current events, news about their stars, and many more fascinating details; it‘s all there.
