Such A Nice Surprise

It was during my nephew Nikko's Christening when i got this nice surprise. My cousin Prily was among the sponsors but we never thought she could make it to the occasion because she is already based in Scotland. I was only updating her of the event through email. Few days before Nikko's Christening, i was wondering why she's not answering my emails anymore only to find out on the day of the event that she flew all the way from Scotland three days prior to the said event. She's really good in surprising people and she loves doing it, mind you.

Her presence is already a surprise but not only that, she also gave me this halter top as present. Nice, isn't it? I just love it!

Plus this chocolate bar that's really yummy. She even apologized for giving me these only because as per her, she wasn't able to shop that much because she didn't have much time. I wonder what else she's going to give me if time allowed her to shop. Hehe. She's really thoughtful you know that's why she's been greatly blessed.

Thanks a lot for these, Cuz. Love yeah! Mwahugs!

A Gift For Me

As early as November, i was already thinking on what to give myself as gift this Christmas. It is only during this season that i give myself a gift. I deserve to have one, i believe so just as much as i know my loved ones deserve something from me too. I haven't accomplished my mission regarding that one yet though but the holidays isn't over just yet so i still have time.

Anyways, i never thought that i'm going to purchase a new cellphone for myself until my old one got some problems in late November. That's when i've decided that i need to buy a new one and this is it - a brand-new Nokia 5220. I like it a lot because it's slim and it fits my small hand perfectly. My Christmas was indeed merrier because of this. (",)

Shopping, Shopping and More Shopping...

Shopping is every woman's weakness, i believe so. I must admit it is my weakness but unfortunately, i can't do it as much as i want to. I am not rich, okay? LOL. The only time that i can really shop as much as i want to is during this season - the holidays! Most of us are actually, i guess since this is the time that bonuses are given and all the other benefits or privileges there is.

However, this season isn't the best time to go shopping. Agree? Reasons include, very crowded malls, scattered garments which gives you difficulty choosing, and to top it all, long queues not just in counters but in fitting rooms as well. There were times actually that i thought of returning the tops that i chose because of the very crowded fitting rooms but then again, i still waited patiently. I don't have a choice, do i? (",)

A Software That Will Help You With Your Budgeting

Expenses are part of our day to day living and with the skyrocketing prices of goods and or commodities, budgeting can really be a pain in the neck. I know it is for some and I am not an exception actually. There were times that I really got short of cash and yet there were still a few bills to take care of. I managed to get through it though but I was being careful with my personal budget from then on. I actually wished that someone could do the budgeting for me since I have the tendency to splurge at times.

And guess what? I actually found a budget software that could help me with it. It is called You Need A Budget or YNAB Pro software. Having one is really essential in the sense that it will help us manage our money the most effective way possible. We will be debt free and we will be able to obtain financial freedom. That is simply great, isn’t it? The software is user-friendly too so no need to worry if you are a techie or not. A lot of individuals have been using it already and their testimonials really perked me up. This software is really a must have if budgeting is a dilemma for you, like me. So what are you waiting for? Check it out today!

It's Misa De Gallo Once Again

Also known as Rooster's Mass, it is already a part of the Philippines Christmas celebration. A mass which takes part early dawn and happens for nine days until the 24th, Catholics look forward to it every year.

I was told before that once i've completed the nine days, i just have to make a wish and it will be granted. I've never really proven it because i've never completed the nine days ever since. Some would say it's true. I still have to find that out though. Hehe.

As much as i want to attend the mass, i really just can't. You know why? Being the sleepyhead that i am, i'm super dooper having a hard time waking up that early. I tried before but i only managed to wake up early the first day, but on the second? Nah-a! Shame on me! Haha. I'm not giving up though. Next year maybe. Lol.

Things I Am Thankful For This Year

A tag from Nancy. Thanks Sis. Mwah!

Be thankful that you don't already have anything you desire...if you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something... for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times... during those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations... because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge... because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes... they will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary... because it means you've made a difference.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.

I have a lot of things to be thankful for and this page is not enough, i guess. Hehe. Anyways, here are some of them.
1.) My family who were always there for me through the toughest times of my life.
2.) My son Yogi who gave me strength to stand the test of time and giving me the courage to move on.
3.) My friends who were always true and were there during those times that i needed them most.
4.) My blogger friends who always put a smile on the face.
5.) To Mabelle who introduced me to the world of blogging. I won't be here if not for her.
6.) To Goofy who gave me the reason to smile and feel special.
7.) And above all else, to God for giving me another year to live.

Let me know what are the things you're thankful too Mabelle, Michelle, Prily, Ate Norm, Twinks, Nova, Rosemarie and Lisa.

Happy Birthday Cat!

Yes, it's Garfield's birthday but not Garfield the cat but Garfield my friend. She likes Garfield so much that's why i call her such. It was her birthday yesterday and shame on me, i totally forgot about it. Blame it on my memory gap. Lol. And come to think of it, we were face to face yesterday at the mall. We talked for a while and as Yogi's Godmother, she offered to pay for Yogi's toy. Then we separated without me remembering that it was her birthday. Only to remember a few minutes later when she texted me. Yikes! Sorry about that, Cat. I offered to treat her for a snack at Greenwich but she refused because she still have some things to attend to.

Anyways, i know you had a happy birthday. Belated Happy Birthday again, Ate Carol and i wish you all the best the world has to offer. Love yah! Mwahugs!

Nick and Starr: Amazing Race 13 Winners

I've always been fond of watching Amazing Race. I used to watch the previous episodes from start to finish but wasn't able to watch this one - only its premiere telecast and its final telecast which was last night. I actually forgot about it if not for my brother. The show's time slot is already my bed time, that's why.

This show really gets me excited yet nervous at the same time. As Nick and Starr were solving the puzzle and the couple, Ken and Tina were only a few step away, i was like "Dali, Dali" (Hurry, Hurry!). I was cheering for Nick and Starr. They're both excellent participants. I just don't admire their perseverance and determination to win the race but their team work as siblings as well. It is really great seeing siblings worked that way to reach the top. I do admire Ken and Tina too - the separated couple that despite their age, they managed to make it as 1st runner-up. What an energy they both have, and that reconciliation portion is simply touching. It melted my heart. Hehe.

Congratulations Nick and Starr! You do deserve to win.

Victorious Manny!

It's over and as i've expected, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao won the much-awaited match which was also considered as the dream match in the history of boxing. He defeated the Golden Boy, Oscar dela Hoya of Mexico via TKO on the eight round.

I was doing my usual blogging stuff when i got the news. What's shown on TV was a delayed telecast so i already knew who won even before i watch the game. The game's live stream was shown in the internet over HERE but i found out about it from my brother's girlfriend a few minutes after the game. I was a little disappointed because i haven't seen it but what can i do. I just have to watch the replay later tonight.

Congratulations Manny! You never missed to make the Filipinos proud. (",)

Biggest Fight Of The Year

Two more nights to go and the much-awaited fight between the Mexican's pride Oscar "Golden Boy" Dela Hoya and the Filipino's pride Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao will be seen all over the world. Considered to be one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing, enthusiasts won't miss this game, no doubt.

I am not a boxing fan but i do watch if it is Pacman on the ring (Read: Only if it's Pacman). Being our City's Pride (General Santos), we, the Generals never missed his games. Everyone is glued in front of their TV sets to witness every single move he makes and celebrate after every winning game. That's how we support our very own, Pacman and we do believe he will again bring home the bacon this time. Go, go Pacman!

Mini Mouse

I bought one the other day after experiencing intermittent hang up with the previous one. We've been using the old one for like a year before it finally said bye-bye. It is of different brand with what i bought which is a Mini Genius Optical mouse like the one shown in the picture. I like this Mini Mouse more because it simply fits may small hand unlike the previous one, an A4-tech, which makes my hand sore after an hour of using it. This is also quite cheap. I was having a hard time choosing this actually because i really have no idea what's the best brand. Glad the salesman helped me and recommended this one. But i forgot to buy one thing, a mouse pad. Hmmm...will get one as soon i get to the mall again.
