Prince Harry

As much as i admire Princess Diana, i feel the same way too towards his two handsome sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. Though i like Prince William better because he's much cuter (hehe), but i can say it is Prince Harry that i admired the most. I've seen the news this morning that he was sent to Afghanistan by the British Army and spent ten weeks there. It was kept quiet as much as possible for obvious reasons. The courage he had shown is definitely admirable.

Worst Dressed

I still can't believe that Jessica Alba made it to the worst dressed celebrity at the recent Oscar Awards. She does look ravishing though pregnant in her gown, doesn't she? She was actually one of my choices for the best dressed and i was surprised when i found out that she didn't make it there. Critics didn't like the feathers on her dress. I don't really see anything wrong with it but that is their opinion. We have different preferences so i think i just have to respect that. I'm not an authority too when it comes to fashion so i think it would be best if i leave it to them.

The Oscars

I watched the glamorous 80th Annual Academy Awards last monday. I'm not after the winners why i watched the show but i'm more interested on the gowns the actresses wore.

Jennifer Gardner came out as the first presentor of the evening and was stunningly beautiful in her black gown. I know she stood out from the rest. She was my bet for the best dressed in the evening and i wasn't wrong. Jessica Alba came as my second choice for the best dressed but much to my surprise, she was chosen as one of the worst dressed. She does look gorgeous and stunning in her gown for me. Well, we have different preferences.

For Men

Men shave everyday except for those who prefer to have a mustache or beard. I've always preferred men to be clean shaved because it looks nice and neat. But we have different preferences so it really depends.

For those men who can't stand a day without shaving, here are some tips that I got from my favorite mag. You probably learned to shave by watching your father. But before you pass on bad habits to your sons, take a few moments to review this routine.

1) Before you begin, check the way your beard grows. The general rule is to shave in the direction of the hair growth.

2) Take a warm shower or use a very warm, damp towel to open your pores and soften your beard. Never use hot water - it dehydrates the skin.

3) Apply shaving cream or gel in a thin, even layer. Don't use too much; the razor will clog.

4) While shaving, use your free hand to keep your skin taut and as flat as possible. This will give you a very close shave, without cuts or nicks. Use short strokes, starting with sideburns, cheeks and neck. Finish with the upper lip and chin.

5) Frequently rinse your razor under hot water.

6) When you're done, rinse your face with cool water. Gently pat your face dry. Do not rub.

7) Never use alcohol-based aftershave. It'll sting and dry your skin.

To put it bluntly, a sharp razor, hot water and an even layer of lather will ensure a smooth, close shave.

I Love Accessories!

I love accessorizing myself. From earrings to anklets, name it. I wear them. Not at all times though. It still depends on my outfit and mood. I'm always on the look out on the latest fad when it comes to accessories but it doesn't mean that i'll wear them and join the latest trend. There are a lot of things that i consider like, do i look good with them or do they match with the kinds of clothes that i wear, and so on and so forth. We should all consider those and don't just think of being hip or not.

Boracay

When you're in the Philippines and you're thinking of a place to spend your vacation, then there's no other place to be in but Boracay. I came to see Boracay in 2001 after our trip to Ilo-Ilo and Kalibo, Aklan. We only stayed there for two nights and three days. Though we've seen the whole place in that short span of time, still we felt it wasn't enough. We could have stayed longer if time did allow us but our trip was limited. My sis just took a few days off as well as my bro-in-law.

The place was really magnificent. Our escapade was still very vivid to me. It was my first time to rode the jet ski and i was screaming to the top of my lungs. I don't know how to swim (shame on me. hehe) and though i was wearing a life jacket, still my fear was to its highest level. But i've got to enjoy it after several turns and i've considered it the highlight of our Bora trip.

Princess Diana

I've always been a big fan of Princess Diana. I admire not just her beauty but also her love for the people especially the less fortunate ones. She is an icon in almost all aspects. Until her death in October of 1997, if i'm not mistaken.

If i remember it right, i was alone watching television in the living room searching for a nice show to watch that time. I switched over to CNN and saw the words "breaking news". I'm always alarmed whenever i see those words. So i watched not knowing that it's about Princess Diana's accident. My attention was focused on the car because it was shown partly hidden at the back of the anchor. When i finally found out, i can't deny that i had goosebumps especially the part when the anchor blurted it out, teary-eyed at the same time about her death. It was really a shocking news not just for me but to all the people in the world. She was definitely a loss. But then again, her memory remains. She is still remembered as the darling of the people, the Princess of Wales.

Underdog

My brother brought the Underdog DVD yesterday so i watched it with my nephews and son. I was gonna do something else but thought i'd watch first. I made the right decision because i had fun. It was hilarious. I really had a big laugh. The effects was amazing. Watch it yourself.

Since my theme in this blog is all about fashion and the like, so i've decided for a black template. Black is considered the most elegant among the colors, right? But for a while i was hesitating on the color because it looks quite dull for me. That was only at first though. I've got to like it eventually.
